Pure Hopium for the Coping Trumper
Straight into my veins, plz.
Despite what you may have heard, the 2020 election drama is still very much unfolding. And I need to write about it, because there is only so much one-sided propaganda that one can see rolled out before the dam bursts and a rant becomes unavoidable.
WARNING: RANT INCOMING
That’s right: I haven’t come this far to throw in the towel and submit to the new (i.e old) political reality that is being forcibly imposed upon the US, and by extension the world. Please forgive me for being cynical about the prospect of the same political establishment telling us they are going to solve problems like perpetual international conflict, impending environmental doom, widening economic inequality and systemic racism that became problems under their watch, just because they know how to reassure us with fake politeness and signal to the right virtues — all while being propped up by the sociopathic crony capitalists of Big Business and Wall Street, the censorship loving mega-nerds of Big Tech, the anti-nature pill poppers of Big Pharma, the remnant CIA psy-op that is Mainstream Media, and of course the glamorised child abuse ring that is Hollywood.
Phew, I needed that. Thankyou for indulging.
Because I still believe we are about to bring that system to an end, even if it must come through someone with bad hair and a triggering personality. Thus, contrary to impressions that Trump has been banished to some immaculately if mildly-tackily decorated residence as a private citizen forever, and with his 4 years of madness soon to be Orange-washed from history, I will be providing some much needed hopium/copium to anyone else out there still keeping the faith — right up to the bitter end.
Before I get serious, a digression into my favourite current conspiracy: Biden is not actually in the White House, having been denied entry by the military (the entire DC precinct is still surrounded by fenced barbed wire stationed by 1000s of National Guard troops, for those who weren’t aware). He is, in fact, filming in a replica Oval Office Hollywood studio called Castle Rock. I’m telling you: the world is a lot more interesting when you dare to believe that some of these debunked lunacies as deemed by The News might actually be coming true.
If you need convincing that it might actually be true, you can even find a shoddy fact checking article that ignores the most convincing evidence (including the actual photos of Biden sitting in a staged White House) while focusing on one particular dodgy theory from a random 3 minute Bitchute video. Bad Fact Checker. Try Harder.
Anyway, back to business. One of the most prevalent false narratives following the election was that the numerous cases brought by Trump and his legal team were almost unanimously rejected. They weren’t, by any stretch. Out of a total of 80 cases, only 7 have been heard and lost. 34 were not heard at all, due to various reasons (I assume some were legitimate, but it also seems some were based on technicalities). 21 are ongoing (as of February 5) with the remaining 14 actually won by the Trump team. 2 outta 3 ain’t that bad?
The Stolen Election narrative isn’t going away. How much unabated talk of fraud will it take until it starts to seep through even the most intense of media firewalls? One well known business man (basically The Pillow Guy, which just makes complete sense in the Trump world of politics) has just released a two hour video detailing the most compelling claims of fraud. Is it possible to put together two hours of such convincing disinformation?
On the 19th of February, the Supreme Court will also decide whether to further consider 3 separate cases regarding the use of mail-in ballots in different key swings states (i’d be lying if I said I knew if anything significant comes of it, but even one positive decision continues to build the narrative).
Trump’s lawyers have also hinted that they will present evidence of election fraud at his just-commenced impeachment for ‘inciting’ an ‘insurrection’ on the 6th of January. That is: an insurrection that was initiated by not even remotely MAGA-looking individuals (some of whom are confirmed extreme right neo-nazis and extreme left Antifa members), that was enabled through people being ushered through barricades in front of waiting cameras, that started before Trumps apparent incitement speech was even finished (fun fact: his exact instructions to his supporters were to march towards the capitol peacefully), and that has all the appearances of a pre-planned event staged so as to lead to this exact outcome (seriously, this is what these people do).
If such voter fraud evidence is presented at the impeachment, and given how many people will be tuned in — whether in support of Trump or in the hope of seeing him flagellated mercilessly — these hearings may end up being one of the most spectacular political own goals in history. This should not be at all surprising: it is like the Democrats are doing all they can right now — rank hypocrisy in rolling back Covid measures, breaking promises in failing to deliver stimulus checks, killing jobs through the Keystone Pipeline, and removing protections against illegal immigration at the southern border — to convince swinging voters to long for the days of olde; that offensive bright orange once so glaring now fading into a nostalgic sunset.
The media sure doesn’t help, when it releases straight up conservative/conspiracy trolling articles like this one: whereby they admit that a “well-funded cabal of powerful people” did in fact conspire “to influence perceptions, change rules and laws, steer media coverage and control the flow of information”. Never fear, however: for it was only to ‘fortify’ the election, not some other nefarious reasons the crazies might have you believe.
Why does all this matter? I’ve thought on multiple occasions that there would be some sort of intervention, either by the courts or the military, as it became increasingly obvious that there were anomalies in the vote that simply could not be explained away by anything except fraudulent practice. I’m almost certain the military would like to intervene, given Biden’s ties to China and his not entirely subtle Communist-creep at home, coupled with his desire to return to meddling in other countries affairs abroad. But if they did so without letting people see this in the flesh, it would have probably lead to civil war (it still might). I have no evidence that such an intervention either is or will be taking place. But then again, if it was a military operation, of course they aren’t going to tell us.
What we have just seen is an outright military coup in Myanmar, for the exact reason of alleged election fraud that the political and judicial classes refused to address. The world may be at the stage where the perceived corruption of the political class will start to be countered by the military class in some Roman Empire-esque moves that most of us have never seen before. An interesting test of whether history is linear or cyclical, perhaps.
If enough of the US public became convinced fraud had indeed swayed the result of the election, it would be a brave person to assume that the US military — perhaps the most patriotic organisation in the world — would not take it upon themselves to be the first domino from which other Western nations may follow.
How’s that for a cope?
