A Prayer for Light; A Poem of Light

All around me there is fog, a descending cloud.

There is misguidance, deception.

There is contention, contradiction.

All inhibiting Your light.

Do not let me stray too far as I search;

Do not leave me to myself as I navigate.

Allow it to shine, and grow brighter to my eyes,

And I will, in turn, reflect it upon others.

Just a single positive thought of you,

A source of reason to be optimistic,

A possible way out,

Releases my mind,

Enables my imagination.

The fog clears, just for a moment —

And a ray of light passes through.
