Jurassic World Dominion, Transhumanism Creep and The Dinosaur Conspiracy

The Overton Window for Humans playing God continues to be shifted, one big budget piece of reptile porn at a time.

I remember during Peak-Qtard days (which probably coincided with Peak-Rona days, mid to late 2020 in the lead up to the election) when our favourite quantum psychics and intel disseminators were pointing us towards the lack of new Hollywood blockbusters as evidence that Tom Hanx and all his fellow blood-funneling celebs were being rounded up for military tribunals. Well, for better or for worse, Hollywood still seems to be alive and kicking at the moment — which at least allows me to continue this Conspirituality Movie Review series.

This time around, it is Jurassic World Dominion. Again, I am going to follow the same basic approach as my exploration of the latest Top Gun movie: while we are stuck in duality, we may as well try and find the good in everything — even if the artefact in question is a genetically-modified slab of transhumanist reptile porn.

So, yes, there are thrills to be had aplenty here: not least in the thorough awesomeness of seeing most of the original Jurassic Park band (obvs not the fat guy who got eaten on the toilet) getting back together; the romance between Sam Neill and Laura Dern is equal parts predictable and cringe, however Jeff Goldblum is sassy AF and saves the day.

There are close, heavy-reptilian-breathing encounters galore; there are traumatically cute raptor pets; there are the two black peeps who — by being both the most badass and most morally righteous characters in the movie — ensure it will be granted the official Woke Tick Of Approval.

But, most importantly, there is so much transhuman conspiracy fodder on display that it was all I could do to not turn my phone back on 15 minutes in to take notes for this article.

I’m sure everyone has heard of the The Overton Window: the subtle shifting of acceptable discourse through the introduction of deliberately provocative, desensitising events.

Well, consider Jurassic World Dominion as a deft (albeit big budget) shifting of the The Transhumanism Window.

The sad thing is, it could have been so much more, something better. It could have been a sage (albeit big budget) warning of the dangers of genetic modification, cloning, pathogen weaponisation and human-ascension-through-science. Instead, it wet the bed, chickening out at the last minute.

Do the creators blame the mildly apocalyptic end scenario (whereby humans and hybrid reptiles must learn to live in harmony lol nice try Hillary) on the underlying ideology of hacking the human genome and reviving dead/invented species for our own indulgences? Of course not: the blame rests on one immaculately dressed psychopath who got a bit carried away and took the whole noble endeavor off course.

Thus, what we really have here is a blatant and transparent (albeit big budget) attempt to normalise the ongoing attempts of humans to play God, just as long as we keep all the psychopaths out of the labs. Of course (as we have learned over the last 2 and half years) people in lab coats are automatically granted a level of ethical integrity far beyond that of us denim-wearing plebs, thus there really isn’t that much to worry about.

I mean, seriously. How did the token Asian scientist — who started the whole mess by genetically-altering some weird locust/dinosaur hybrid that was soon plaguing much of the US farming heartland — end up saving the day? Through more genetic alteration of course: isolating a pathogen derived from a human girl clone and inserting it into a locust that is then released to magically eradicate the rest of the plagues without further hiccup or consequence.

FFS. These people are relentless in their disdain for staying within the trappings of Creation and Natural Law. And the muggles who lap this science-worship up are the ones who say we are obsessed with Freedom at all costs? Plz.

In short: I’m pissed off, and i’m going to be a party pooper for everyone as result. Here is a 16 minute YouTube video by the internet’s most famous Flat Earther arguing why Dinosaurs are a hoax, presented without comment (there are plenty of videos out there debunking it if you feel the need for balance). Blame the disinterested and overpaid Sam Neill, not me.

For what it is worth, I’m more than happy to accept that giant freakish reptiles used to roam the Earth. But then, I also believe Giant People also used to roam the Earth, which seems just as plausible as some of these lizard chicken weirdos. And don’t even get me started on Giant Trees
